Tasks

Tasks is your guided, one-at-a-time queue of the work assigned to you. It is the default page you land on after logging in. To return to it at any time, click Tasks in the left sidebar. The route is /tasks.

Rather than hunting through lists for what needs your attention, Tasks gives you a single ordered stream of emails to triage, attachments to review, and invoices to review or approve -- and walks you through them.

The Task List

The task list opens with a greeting header -- Good morning, Good afternoon, or Good evening depending on the time of day, with your first name -- and a subtitle reading You have N tasks to complete. A Start tasks button sits to the right.

Each row reads like a sentence describing the work -- the action (Review or Approve), the document, and who it is from, for example "Review invoice from Acme Supply" -- with a badge showing the task type. Click a row to open that task in focus mode, or click Start tasks to begin at the top of the list.

Task-Type Tabs

Tabs across the list filter your work by type, each with a count:

  • Email Triage
  • Attachment Review
  • Invoices to Review
  • Invoices to Approve

Which tabs you see depends on your permissions. You will only see a task type if you have permission to do that kind of work.

Focus Mode

Opening a task or clicking Start tasks drops you into focus mode -- one task at a time.

On the left is a rail headed Tasks with a progress line showing how many of your session's tasks are done -- for example, "3 of 8 done" -- and a progress bar. The rail lists your session's tasks; completed ones are checked off and the active one is highlighted. You can click any task in the rail to jump to it, or collapse the rail to widen the work area.

In the header, previous and next arrows step through your tasks. You can also use the left and right arrow keys to move between tasks without reaching for the mouse. A position indicator between the arrows shows where you are in the session.

The center pane shows the item you are acting on:

  • For an email task, the email and its attachments.
  • For an invoice task, the invoice detail, where you review or approve it.

As you complete each task, Mod AI advances you to the next one automatically.

You're All Caught Up

When you finish every task in the session, a completion screen appears reading You're all caught up, with a count of what you completed and a Back to Tasks button. If more tasks arrived while you were working, it offers a Continue button instead so you can keep going.
