Organization Settings

Your organization is the top-level account in Mod AI. It holds everything -- your entities (companies), users, and platform-wide settings all live under your organization.

An organization can have multiple entities under it. Each entity operates independently with its own invoices, vendors, chart of accounts, and settings, but all are managed under a single organization.

Only the Primary Admin can access organization settings.

Accessing Organization Settings

Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner, then select Organization Settings from the dropdown menu.

Organization Name

The organization name is displayed across the platform and in email communications. To update it:

  1. Go to Organization Settings.
  2. Edit the Organization Name field.
  3. Save your changes.

Primary Admin

The Primary Admin is the owner of the organization. This person has the highest level of access and is the only user who can manage organization-level settings, including user management and ownership transfer.

Only one person can be the Primary Admin at a time. The Primary Admin is displayed on the organization settings page.

Transferring Ownership

The Primary Admin can transfer ownership to another admin in the organization. This makes the other person the new Primary Admin and gives them full control over the organization.

To transfer ownership:

  1. Go to Organization Settings.
  2. Click Transfer Ownership.
  3. Select the admin you want to transfer ownership to.
  4. Confirm the transfer.

Transferring ownership is a significant action. The new Primary Admin will have full control over the organization, including the ability to remove other admins. Make sure you intend to transfer before confirming.
