Accepting an Invitation

To use Mod AI, you need to be invited by someone in your organization -- typically an admin or manager. This page explains how invitations work and how to accept yours.

How Invitations Work

When an admin or manager adds you to Mod AI, the platform sends an invitation email to the email address they provided. This email contains a unique link that lets you set up your account and join your organization.

Each invitation is tied to a specific organization and one or more entities (companies) within that organization. Your role is assigned at the time of invitation and determines what you can see and do in the platform.

What the Invitation Email Looks Like

The invitation email comes from Mod AI and includes:

  • A welcome message with your organization's name
  • The name of the person who invited you
  • A Get Started button (or link) to accept the invitation

The invitation email is sent from a @usemod.ai address. If you do not see it in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder.

Steps to Accept Your Invitation

Follow these steps to set up your account:

Step 1: Open the Invitation Email

Find the invitation email in your inbox and click the Get Started button. This opens the Mod AI account setup page in your browser.

Step 2: Set Your Password

You will be prompted to create a password for your account. Enter a password that meets the requirements:

  • At least 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Step 3: Confirm Your Account

After setting your password, your account is confirmed and active. You will be redirected to the Mod AI platform where you can log in with your email and new password.

Joining a Company or Entity

When you accept your invitation, you are automatically added to the organization and specific entity (company) that your admin assigned you to. If your organization manages multiple entities, you may be invited to one or several of them.

You can see which entities you belong to after logging in by using the company switcher in the top bar. For more on this, see Navigating the Dashboard.

You do not choose which entity to join. Your admin assigns you to the appropriate entity or entities when they send the invitation. If you need access to a different entity, contact your admin.

What If Your Invitation Expired?

Invitation links expire after a limited time for security reasons. If you click the link and see an expiration message:

  1. Contact your admin or manager and ask them to resend your invitation from the Mod AI settings.
  2. A new invitation email will be sent with a fresh link.
  3. Follow the steps above to accept the new invitation.

Do not try to reuse an expired link. It will not work, and you will need a new one.

What If You Did Not Receive an Invitation?

If you were told to expect an invitation but have not received one:

  • Check your spam or junk folder. Email filters sometimes catch invitation emails.
  • Verify the email address. Make sure your admin used the correct email address when sending the invitation.
  • Ask your admin to resend. They can resend the invitation from the Entity Users settings.
  • Contact support. If the problem persists, reach out to support@usemod.ai.
